A Kansas City native who transplanted to Columbus, OH, in 2014 to attend graduate school at Ohio State University, Petra has her M.S. in chemistry and loves to teach chemistry and biochemistry while geeking out on science-related news. Writer and Editor for the Human Defense Initiative, she is passionate about the pro-life movement and uses her science education and teaching skills to speak up for the most vulnerable humans among us. Chris Alexis

Chris Alexis is a writer and marketer in the education sector. He started out as pro-choice but over time abortion became harder and harder for him to justify, and through the course of personal experience the married father of three came to a profoundly different place, where he now feels the call to use his gifts to save unborn children.

Lora Current

With a love for Christ and an understanding of His divine creation of every life, Lora Current is a young pro-lifer from rural Ohio, where she grew up on a purebred cattle farm with her six siblings. She has worked and interned for the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio State University while also working as a media personality and speaker for iHeartRadio, USA Today, and numerous other public outreach events. In 2021 Lora served as Miss Ohio where she traveled the United States speaking with thousands of students about where/Who true value and worth comes from.

Lora is a recent graduate from the Ohio State University, where she studied Macro Social Work, focusing on governmental policies, larger communities, and nonprofit organizations. She currently attends Harvard University pursuing her master’s in Journalism with certifications in business communications, marketing management, and digital strategy.

Tabitha Goodling

Tabitha Goodling has been writing for media outlets for more than 20 years in her home state of Pennsylvania. She has served as a client services director at her local pregnancy center since 2018. She and her husband are raising four teenage daughters, which include a set of triplets.

Kim Hayes

Kim Hayes is a writer for Pregnancy Help News. She has been a teacher, author, speaker and facilitator for marriage and family issues and married for over 35 years to Jeff, with four grown children. Kim’s counseling experience included 21 years as a volunteer consultant and trainer at Pregnancy Decision Health Centers. She was the Athletic Director of Columbus Crusaders Youth Sports ministry for 15 years. Kim has written several books, including the latest release, Prodigal Rewind:  The Grateful Son.

Gayle Irwin

Gayle M. Irwin is an award-winning author and freelance writer living in Wyoming. She’s been recognized by Wyoming Writers, Inc. and the Wyoming Press Association for several of her works. She’s contributed short stories to seven Chicken Soup for the Soul books as well. For nearly 13 years, Gayle worked as Patient Resources Director at True Care Women’s Resource Center, a pro-life pregnancy medical resource center in Casper, Wyoming. She will retire in December 2022 to focus on her writing career. Gayle is the author of many inspirational pet books for children and adults, including devotions such as Walking in Trust: Lessons Learned With My Blind Dog and the upcoming Seasons of Life Seasons of Nature.
