Fake Clinics? documentary highlights the truth about pregnancy help

Fake Clinics? documentary

Abortion proponents have depicted the U.S. Supreme Court Dobbs decision striking down Roe v. Wade as a tragedy for what they consider to be a right to abortion on demand. The abortion lobby has used the historical ruling to attack pro-life work at every turn.

Particularly vicious have been the attacks on pregnancy help centers as they have continued to meet the needs of women experiencing unplanned pregnancy, demonstrating that women do have the support necessary to choose life.

To expose the nature and extent of these attacks, Cynthia Morales of Pro-Life Champions has produced a new documentary Fake Clinics?.

Pro-Life Champions is a non-profit media group that produces documentaries, television, radio, and internet programs that defend and promote human life. The organization was co-founded by Cynthia and her husband John Morales and produced The “40” Film and Shout My Story campaign. Cynthia Morales is the organization’s Executive Director.

Morales’s target audience with her group’s latest project is churches and individuals who support pregnancy help centers’ work to show how effective the centers are in supporting women and their families.

Additionally, the documentary highlights the attacks pregnancy centers and pro-life advocates are under in general and the fact they need protection to be able to continue the work. The video combines stories of pregnancy center clients alongside the news reports of those maligning the work, underscoring the attacks are not grounded in facts.

Fake Clinics? illuminates the battle pregnancy centers are in and how, despite the attacks, they continue to do their work with excellence.

As shocking as the smear attacks and vandalism directed at pregnancy help centers have been, the actions of pro-abortion legislators in various states are a real and present danger to women as well as their preborn children. Sen. Elizabeth Warren was among the first as she started attacking pregnancy centers, even doing so from the U.S. Senate floor.

“When considering why governments are going after pregnancy resource centers the left was sort of railing in a response to the Dobbs decision,” Jonathan Alexandre, VP of Government Affairs and senior counsel for Liberty Counsel states in the documentary.

“The left in reaction was sort of throwing spaghetti on the wall seeing who they could attack, who they could trap into this cultural narrative saying that pro-life efforts aren’t good ones,” Alexandre continued, noting that pregnancy centers were their target.

The Spirit of Liberty Church of God in Markham, Ill., is among the first churches to utilize the Fake Clinics? documentary for a gathering to promote and fund a pregnancy center. At the dedication of His Loving Arms Pregnancy Center the church gathered for a viewing.

Rev. Caesar LeFlore III is the senior pastor at Spirit of Liberty. Following the dedication event, he had this to say, “Fake Clinics? is an inspiriting presentation of the Christ-centered love, compassion, and skilled ministry to women and families that crisis pregnancy centers provide for free on a daily basis.”

LeFlore recommends churches show the documentary to their congregants as, “A vivid example of how to make the promise Jesus made in John 10:10 come to life - ‘but I have come so they might have life and have it more abundantly.’”

“Despite the lies of Satan, the father of lies, Fake Clinics? proves beyond all doubt that the professional knowledge and accountability infused with Christian compassion demonstrated by skilled associates make crisis pregnancy centers genuine centers of healthy care,” LeFlore said.

As part of promoting the documentary Pro-Life Champions will be providing reels from the film on all its social media accounts.

With these shorter versions being made available, pregnancy centers will be able to send donors shorter clips to highlight the work of pregnancy help.

One point made clearly throughout the documentary is the on-going care provided by pregnancy centers, continuing to meet clients’ needs throughout pregnancy and beyond.

Morales is passionate about getting this message out. It has been the motivation for all the projects she has produced through Pro-Life Champions.

The ongoing Shout My Story series has enabled Morales to highlight the devastation of the work of abortion activists as well as the victories of pro-life organizations. It is a platform for women and couples to share their life-affirming stories.

Morales continues to make the case through her work that pregnancy help centers offer hope, empowerment, and real solutions during crisis pregnancies.

“The message that abortion providers give you is ‘you are not strong enough to handle having your baby,’” she said in an interview with the National Catholic Register.

While abortion proponents attempt to declare abortion as the “empowering” choice for women, Morales noted, “When she walks out the baby is gone, but the crisis that brings her there is not. Pro-life pregnancy centers help a woman deal with the crisis.”

As one pregnancy center client stated in the documentary, the services a center offers are, “The help I needed even if I wasn’t pregnant.”

Providing women and families compassion and information, pregnancy help centers offer women the chance to make a choice for life through support, without compulsion. Fake Clinics? provides viewers the evidence of these facts.
